Scott Ziporin, MD, RPVI
Dr. Ziporin, a board-certified vascular surgeon with training in all areas of vascular surgery utilizing both traditional, open operative and endovascular techniques, is originally from Denver, Colorado.
He attended the
University of Colorado at Boulder
as an undergraduate to then earn a Masters degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at
Washington University in St. Louis.
He received his medical degree from the
University of Colorado School of Medicine, during which he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the Owens-Swan Award for Outstanding Promise in Surgery. Dr. Ziporin is trained in General Surgery at
Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital
in St. Louis, Missouri, and pursued a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at
Harvard University/Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Ziporin's scope of practice includes the comprehensive treatment of chronic venous insufficiency diagnoses, including superficial venous reflux, venous stasis ulcers, venous stasis dermatitis, varicose veins, and symptomatic reticular spider veins.
Dr. Ziporin firmly believes in treating every one of his patients as he would a family member—with caring, compassion and attention to detail throughout the course of their treatment.
He, his wife and two daughters enjoy spending time in the Vail Valley outdoors skiing, hiking, bicycling, flyfishing and playing sports.
